Gas Burner Information

The gas burner is an awesome feature in our ovens, but there is some important information you should be aware of before receiving your oven. This is a quick video overview that shows you some of the burner components:

For proper operation, the burner and the oven loading door have to take in air from the same environmentin order to avoid pressure differences that may result in malfunctions. In case the burner has to be installed in this type of environment, the following needs to be done:

  1. Create an air intake opening under the oven loading door with minimum dimensions of 500 x 500 mm.
  2. Completely close the external perimeter of the oven base, so that the burner can take in air only fromthe same environment as the oven loading door.
  3. Ensure the burner air intake is built as to make it impossible to close it and/or tamper with it.

YOU MUST USE A CERTIFIED PLUMBER TO INSTALL YOUR GAS BURNER AND YOU AND YOUR PLUMBER MUST READ THE OWNERS MANAUL. Almost all of the issues our customers have with installing their burners are a direct result of not working with a certified plumber. Forno Piombo is not liable for any issues that arise with your gas burner if it is not installed by a certified plumber, and we cannot guarantee that it will operate properly if you do not have a plumber doing your installation.

The gas burner is an awesome feature in our ovens, but there is some important information you should be aware of before receiving your oven. Make sure that you design your countertop to meet the specs shown in the owner's manual. Specifically, below the oven, the burner needs to be enclosed on the back, left and right-hand sides with the front open. This is to maintain consistent pressure where the burner is located, along with the flame in the oven so you do not get any kind of blowback when it is windy.

Countertop Clients: If you did not purchase a stand from us, you will need to cut out a hole in your countertop to accommodate the burner sticking out below the oven and countertop. You will also need access to the burner below the oven, so make sure that you leave that area open, which also works well for firewood storage.
